Leila Tutela began her real estate career in 1985 with Century 21.  She earned a BA from Salem State College in Biology with a minor in Education.  A former Biology teacher, she believes in the adage: "knowledge is power” and that she can best service her clients by keeping up with new advances in technology, laws and zoning restrictions that may affect properties and consumer trends as they appear.  She holds a Broker’s license and is a graduate of the Graduate Real Estate Institute (GRI.)  She has  completed course work for Real Estate Appraisal Designation as well as Century 21 own programs in Commercial, Real Estate Investment and Referrals.  She has been a multi-dollar producer in her 30 year in real estate.  She is also a member of the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) and the Women’s Council of Realtors.   She was and still is active in many various civic organizations.  As she watched her two daughters grow, she was a Girl Scout Leader, CCD teacher, president of the Melrose Mother’s Club and active in the Franklin School PTO in Melrose.  Later she was president of the Melrose-Wakefield American Association of University Women (M-WAAUW) and the Wakefield Garden Club (WGC).  She earned her Landscape Design designation through the MA Federation of Garden Clubs. Her recreational activities include yoga, golfing and gardening.  When asked why real estate?. She responds, " to see the joy and excitement of my clients when they find their new home.”
